This was my second experience there and I went back since my first was so good! Everyone’s courteous and do exactly what they tell you they’re going to. My first visit didn’t cost me a dime and the second one I was charged only for an oil change even though he was checking out all kinds of other things. My transmission went in my old Jaguar. Looked for a repair shop that did transmissions and worked on Jaguars. Daytona Auto Repair got good reviews. A price was set. They came up from Holly Hills to Palm Coast and picked it up. Joe, the owner and I had many technical conversations about the great difficulties he was having getting the older parts he needed that were any good. After four or five tries, he was about to give up, but he tried one more time.Sixrh time was the charm. Car was done. I went to pick it up, and decided to give him extra money to mitigate the labor and parts he was out of. He wouldn't do it. Wherever you live, this business is close enough to you to use them. I can't think of a business that would go to the lengths Joe and his team went through to take care of a customer. In the current environment we are in, you'd be lucky to even get a call back, never mind going to these lengths. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Joe and Daytona Auto Repair.

Trustworthy staff and will give you sound advice. These guys work on a wide range of makes, even some of those makes that are hard to find good mechanics for like Jaguar and Range Rover. Aloha! All I can simply say about this place is WOW. My car broke down every 2 weeks or so at the end of last year and beginning of this year. I was so over it. So I switched from my old mechanic and came here. Sy is the best mechanic I have ever seen and one of the sweetest men I ever met. I lost my sister at the the time which is why it took so long to write this. Sy was compassionate about taking the time to figure out what was really wrong with my car, and keep me and my kids safe. He made sure my car was fixed properly and blessed me with a price I could actually afford. Joe the owner I believe... Was a wonderful man who showed exceptional customer service. Plus, being charismatic and making me laugh with his jokes. It's rare to find that these days anymore. My car recently just broke down again. I went without for a while cause my car unfortunately has electrical issues. But yet again... They both figured it out and my car is running smoothly. My car also doesn't light up all over the dash now either. lol The price was a little hard on my budget but could have been so much worse for what was wrong. The office lady Alexis was also very kind and handled whatever I needed. I am blessed to have found them and grateful for their dedication on each vehicle. This shop was very informative and honest. There are plenty of shops out there that try to take advantage of folks. This establishment doesn't appear to be one of them. I brought in our 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport for a Transmission re-build. It was completed in the exact time frame that was quoted and the price was fair at the time it was done. We were even provided detailed notes on the tear-town and what was found, which only confirmed my suspicions of why my transmission was slipping so bad and overheating on long trips. It shifts just like it did when new after driving for 4 days after the completed work 4/7/25 I'd highly recommend this shop to any friend or family member.

Literally the most friendly people ever, I had my transmission burn up while traveling through Daytona and not only did he quote me for free on with the repair would be he thoroughly explained it to me, and even though it wasn't in the position at the time to get the repair done he allowed me to leave the vehicle in his parking lot and allowed me use of his lockbox, and was as thoroughly friendly and hospitable as possible, in a situation where he had nothing to gain from it. Any mechanic with character like this deserves to be at the top of any list easy, if you are looking for a repair in this area I 100% recommend this company.

My regular service station referred me to A1 when my transmission started acting up, I called them up and within one hour a tow truck showed up at my house. That same day it was diagnosed and the next day my transmission was rebuilt. I was back on the road in record time. Recently my 2007 pickup lost a pulley while I was driving down the road, I called them up and the tow truck showed up before my ride home did. Again it was fixed and I was back in business the next day. Super place to do business.
